Since these are British films released before 1946, their copyrights expired after 50 years, per Video-Cellar. The copyrights were not renewed in the U.S.

I sent off a couple of emails, basically form letters, ala this post, with what details I could find for The Farmer's Wife (1928) (dead link) and Bulldog Drummond at Bay (1937) (dead link), to Internet Archive . Don't know what will come of them, but I figured it was worth a shot. You might want to do something similar. Here's hoping!
